About the position

The Take 5 Family is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Shop Manager to lead our team in Mooresville, NC. As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring that all team members adhere to the Take 5 standards for oil changes and other light maintenance services. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, as you will be the first line of defense in ensuring that customers have a positive experience. You will be accountable for your team's performance, motivating them to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a fun and engaging work environment. In this position, you will be involved in various aspects of shop management, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members. You will also be responsible for conducting quarterly employee evaluations, managing payroll, and creating crew schedules. Your ability to understand the shop's financials will be crucial in driving results and meeting budgetary goals. You will need to control inventory by conducting regular audits and placing product orders as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You will be expected to work approximately 55 hours per week, including early hours, and be prepared to work in varying weather conditions. Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
  • Motivating the team and holding them accountable for performance
  • Checking in with customers to ensure a great experience
  • Ensuring the crew provides excellent customer service
  • Controlling inventory and conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory
  • Placing product orders as needed
  • Understanding the shop's financials to drive results and meet budget
  • Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
  • Submitting payroll and creating crew schedules
  • Supporting technicians with their duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • 2 years of supervising experience (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in hot/cold weather conditions
  • Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3' deep pit
