About the position

The Store Manager at Speedway plays a crucial role in leading the store's operations, focusing on customer service, team development, and profitability. This position involves overseeing merchandising and marketing initiatives, training staff, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for both employees and customers. The Store Manager is part of a leadership team that drives the store's success and fosters a culture of growth and advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants and developing leaders.
• Implement all merchandising and marketing programs effectively.
• Use P&L and store reports to drive operational changes.
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the Speedy Rewards loyalty program.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe store environment.

Requirements

• Ability to oversee customer service and provide leadership to store employees.
• Desire to develop leaders and empower employees to enhance productivity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage merchandising and marketing programs.
• Experience using P&L and store reports for decision-making.
• Proficient in cash handling and fuel transaction management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of retail management experience.
• Valid Driver's License and automotive liability insurance.
