About the position
The Store Manager at Zales is responsible for leading the daily operations of the store, focusing on achieving sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and team member development. This role emphasizes personal selling, leadership, and coaching to create a People First environment that promotes diversity and inclusion while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Store Manager will communicate performance expectations, coach staff, and implement corporate initiatives to drive results.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the store to achieve sales and profitability goals.
- Coach and develop store staff to ensure consistent brand representation and customer experience.
- Communicate performance expectations and monitor team progress.
- Empower team members to resolve customer issues and deliver exceptional service.
- Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Foster open communication and collaboration with other store managers in the vicinity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain store cleanliness.
- Manage inventory control and oversee merchandise transfers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of college preferred.
- At least 3 years of retail sales experience, or 2 years of retail sales experience plus 1 year of retail management experience.
- Preference for candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience.
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Office and related business technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective employee and customer relationships.
- Ability to present information professionally and effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Diamond Council of America (DCA) certification preferred.
