About the position

The Store Manager at Walgreens is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, enhancing sales and profitability, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze customer service provided by team members and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Greet customers and clinic patients, offering assistance with products and services.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Resolve customer complaints and respond to special needs.
  • Supervise store and pharmacy operations, including scheduling and task delegation.
  • Oversee financial transactions and bookkeeping, including register counts and cash reports.
  • Plan and implement merchandising strategies and manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to store operations.
  • Manage store cleanliness and maintenance, responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Analyze financial and performance data to develop action plans for sales growth.
  • Review KPIs and asset protection data, implementing strategies to reduce loss.
  • Manage team member performance, providing feedback and recognition.
  • Conduct hiring, promotion, and termination decisions, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Participate in training and personal development programs to enhance skills.
  • Serve as a liaison between district, corporate, and the store for effective communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of retail management experience or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
  • Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state or pharmacy assistant in WA state or licensed Rph within 12 months of starting the Store Manager position.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
