About the position

The Store Manager at Papa Murphy's Midwest is responsible for overseeing the complete operations of a single store, ensuring profitability, managing human resources, and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage various aspects of store operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete oversight of a single store, including profitability and P&L management.
  • Ensure efficient operations, optimum food and labor costs, and minimize waste.
  • Meet Papa Murphy's operational standards in the store.
  • Inspect prep areas and kitchen utensils to ensure sanitary standards are met.
  • Prepare reports to track food cost, waste, sales, inventory, and hours worked by team members.
  • Construct and supervise product prep according to the 'Prep Chart' and 'Dough Production Chart'.
  • Monitor inventory of food and beverage products and submit orders to vendors.
  • Check vendor deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  • Assist at the front of the house, ensuring pizza assembly and service times are maintained.
  • Work in the back of the house doing prep and pre-makes for sales.
  • Communicate menu changes, shortages, and promote suggestive selling among team members.
  • Project sales and recognize sales trends for accurate production levels.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally to maintain total guest satisfaction.
  • Track and reconcile promotion coupons and gift certificates with daily sales reports.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure team members do the same.
  • Communicate daily store status, problems, and opportunities to the owner or Area Supervisor.
  • Monitor cash procedures and ensure accuracy of bank deposits and cash drawers.
  • Recruit, interview, and staff the store with qualified team members, conducting training and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare work schedules and evaluate team members' performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local labor laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-5 years of previous supervisory and QSR management experience.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background and credit history check.
  • Strong leadership skills and integrity.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle complaints.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems.
  • Basic reading and math skills, including weights and measurements.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for long periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move 25-30 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of store financials, P&L's, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and flexibility to cover shifts.
