About the position

The Store Manager at Break Time Convenience Store is responsible for overseeing the performance of the store, focusing on customer service, sales, and team management. This role involves recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating employees while ensuring the store operates efficiently and meets company goals. The Store Manager is expected to create a positive work environment and lead by example, promoting teamwork and excellent service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and encouraging the store team to do the same.
• Oversee all aspects of store operations including daily reporting, banking, inventory, bookkeeping, and fuel management.
• Ensure proper execution of marketing programs and merchandising activities, including pricing and promotions.
• Control merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses while promoting food service and safety.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customers, vendors, and management regarding store operations.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop a successful team of associates to meet customer needs.
• Utilize store technology and perform mathematical calculations for transactions and reports.

Requirements

• Prior management/leadership experience
• Experience in retail sales preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Flexible availability including all shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to move and position products in varying temperatures and weights
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
• Willingness to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
