About the position

The Store Manager at Pep Boys is responsible for achieving sales goals across service labor, parts, and fleet business while providing superior customer service. This role involves maintaining shop productivity, leading and developing the service selling and back shop teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Achieve expected sales goals across service labor, parts, and fleet business.
• Provide superior customer service through in-store execution of programs and initiatives.
• Maintain adequate shop productivity and operational compliance.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and lead service selling and back shop teams.
• Direct and manage a team of associates, including assigning and supervising work.
• Train and coach service selling associates on customer care processes and store systems.
• Monitor shop productivity, workflow, and procedures with an emphasis on efficiency and safety.
• Ensure execution of customer service standards and resolution of customer complaints.
• Follow policies related to cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory integrity.
• Partner with the Fleet business team to maintain customer relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in an automotive service environment.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Basic knowledge of mathematical concepts and ability to apply formulas.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a two-year college or technical program.
• Experience in service industry for one to three years.
