About the position

The Store Manager serves as the primary contact for Cash and Carry customers, ensuring exceptional customer service while overseeing all store operations. This role is responsible for the financial performance of the store, including product merchandising, expense control, and achieving sales and profitability goals. The Store Manager recruits, trains, and develops employees, enforces loss prevention procedures, and manages the store's adherence to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a store culture focused on superior customer service and support for outside sales calls.
  • Manage monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) and assist in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgeting process.
  • Implement and supervise strict controls regarding inventory and cash management.
  • Monitor the auto replenishment function of the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Determine marketing strategy and execute marketing events and programs.
  • Recruit, interview, select, hire, orient, train, and retain staff members.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and manage performance, including training and disciplinary actions.
  • Supervise store management and floor staff, including scheduling and outlining store goals.
  • Implement training programs to increase employee knowledge and productivity.
  • Communicate with staff about merchandising and marketing programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably in Business Management, Supply Chain/Wholesale Management, or Accounting/Finance.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a retail work environment required.
  • At least three years of management/supervisory experience.
