About The Position

The Store Manager at Dollar Tree is responsible for overseeing the profitable operation of a retail store, focusing on recruiting, hiring, training, and developing store associates. The role includes managing store operations, ensuring high standards of merchandising, and maintaining excellent customer service to maximize profit contributions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience.
  • Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience is a plus.
  • Strong productivity management ability in freight processing.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the profitable operation of a retail store.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop store associates in operations and merchandising.
  • Perform all opening and closing procedures.
  • Implement operational and merchandising direction from the Store Support Center.
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising, store signage, and display techniques.
  • Assist in realizing the store's maximum profit contribution.
  • Protect all company assets.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Solve problems creatively in areas such as associate development, maximizing sales potential, controlling expenses and shrink, merchandise display, and store signage placement.
