About The Position

Beyond Yoga, a premium active lifestyle brand headquartered in Los Angeles, is seeking a Store Manager for its Santa Monica location. Founded in 2005 with a commitment to body positivity, Beyond Yoga offers comfortable, stylish activewear made from luxuriously soft fabrics. The brand has a significant market presence through wholesale accounts and an expanding brick-and-mortar footprint. In 2021, Beyond Yoga became part of Levi Strauss & Co., leveraging global capabilities. The Store Manager will lead the retail team to achieve sales goals, manage store operations, foster a positive customer experience, and embody the company's core values.

  • While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crouch, bend, stoop, talk and hear.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the retail team in achieving daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and meeting store financial plans.
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a collaborative selling environment.
  • Assess and strategize to drive performance goals (Conversion, Units Per Transaction, Sales Per Hour, and other KPIs).
  • Utilize company tools and resources to assess business performance and develop action plans.
  • Recruit, hire, manage pay, and make termination decisions for all store personnel.
  • Manage employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and ensuring adherence to policies.
  • Facilitate onboarding and training for new hires on company culture, product knowledge, and selling techniques.
  • Coach staff to enhance their knowledge and provide opportunities for continued development, including creating succession plans.
  • Achieve payroll plan by managing store schedules and monitoring labor costs.
  • Ensure sound inventory management through accurate receiving and sending of merchandise.
  • Prevent loss by educating associates on customer service and monitoring daily store activity.
  • Perform store visual standards following visual merchandising direction and adapt as needed for store layout.
  • Ensure product is displayed in a compelling manner that tells a story through styling.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of product on the sales floor through effective replenishment planning.
  • Create a compelling store experience by engaging customers and modeling appropriate selling and service behaviors.
  • Build relationships naturally, embrace individuality, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the store team and Home Office on building community connections and executing events.
