About the position
The Store Manager at Foot Locker Inc. is responsible for leading the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales. This role includes employee management, customer relations, stock management, visual merchandising, asset protection, and training. In the absence of the store manager, the Store Manager assumes all managerial duties, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment while contributing to the overall success of the store.
Responsibilities
- Coaching and motivating the team to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable about all products and collaborating with co-workers
- Delivering on sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations
- Acting as a liaison between customers, sales associates, and store leadership
- Learning and sharing expertise on products and trends to meet customer needs
- Maintaining awareness of all product knowledge and current or upcoming trends
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales setting
- Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
- Motivated to achieve great results through enthusiasm from interacting with customers and athletic products
- Resourceful and versatile in responding to changing demands in a rapidly changing retail environment
- Initiates completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
- Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis, decision making, and financial analysis
- High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
