THE OPPORTUNITY: Cosmic Bliss is looking for a Store Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to help us build. This individual will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Scoop Shop. We are looking for an individual who can think strategically about how to bring our vision to life while also working shifts at the shop to gain hands on experience. Ideally, this candidate will be a dedicated team builder with the skills and ambition needed to oversee all employees. You will work closely with a cross-functional team that includes the executive team at Cosmic Bliss and our HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and security measures are followed, inventory and ordering are maintained, labor is managed, and necessary actions are taken for areas needing improvement.
  • Perform and oversee shop accounting including keeping records of all income and expenses, and managing bank deposits, etc.
  • Provide regular financial and labor reports to management.
  • Uphold systems and practices.
  • Keep SOPs up to date and continuously improving processes for maximum success.
  • Work with the corporate Marketing Team to perform/oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Train staff in the Point-of-Sale system and keep the system up to date with menu changes, etc.
  • Manage Scoop Shop maintenance as dictated by the lease agreement and required for operation.
  • Supervise day to day activities for the Scoop Team.
  • Keep up with scheduling, payroll data, employee relations, hiring, onboarding, training, development, evaluation, corrective action, and terminations in coordination with other HR and other leadership team members.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, and fun shop environment.
  • Maintain recipes, pricing, and portion control; maintain weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage ice cream preparation and sales operations.
  • Place purchase orders for supplies, commodities and associated products and support for the purchase or requisition of retail & food service equipment.
  • Performs all team member duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of management in the food & beverage industry, preferably at retail food establishments
  • Experience with frozen foods and/or at a startup restaurant/café is a plus
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ people
  • Experience providing and/or overseeing customer service
  • Experience overseeing maintenance and repairs of restaurant equipment
  • Proficient with inventory management, accounting, point-of-sale
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Familiarity with shift scheduling programs preferred
  • Experience with Employment Law, Policies & Safety, Communication, Adaptability, and Systems Thinking
  • 18 years old or older
  • Open availability, Monday - Sunday (including afternoons, evenings, weekends & holidays)
  • A passion for the joy of sustainability and cleaner food systems
