About the position

The Store Manager role at Amazon is focused on leading the operations of a grocery store in the Greater Wynnewood area. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences by managing a team of Assistant Managers and grocery associates. The Store Manager will analyze business metrics to drive performance, maintain a positive team culture, and execute scalable processes within the store. The role requires a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, safety, and continuous improvement in a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of assistant managers, including setting goals, relaying expectations, and managing performance.
  • Delegate and influence to drive exceptional results in the store, executing standard operating procedures and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data and guide the team to adjust as needed, using business metrics to measure and drive performance.
  • Create and maintain a culture of engagement by listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers, and implementing solutions to problems.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for employees, customers, and products.
  • Work in a physical environment, including the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and remain on feet for shifts.
  • Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a customer-facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment (including 1+ year directing store operations as a Store Leader, or equivalent), or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 8+ years of customer-facing retail, hospitality, or grocery industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8+ years of customer-facing grocery industry experience.
  • 1+ years directing store operations as Store Leader, or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and develop high-performing teams.
