DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a passionate, people-first Store Manager to oversee store operations. This role is critical in creating a positive shopping experience for customers while driving business results and operational goals. The Store Manager is responsible for coaching and developing their team, ensuring a diverse and effective workforce, and fostering community relationships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee store operations and ensure a hassle-free shopping experience for customers.
- Drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and data analysis.
- Control expenses and manage workforce budgeting.
- Execute floor sets and maintain visual standards in the store.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and safe.
- Build an effective store team through the interview/hiring process.
- Prioritize community involvement and build relationships with local leaders.
- Manage shrink results through compliance with safety and loss prevention guidelines.
- Lead the team with a people-first focus, building trust and actively listening to team members.
- Infuse learning and development into day-to-day leadership.
Requirements
- 3 years of Retail Store Manager experience or 5 years of related management/customer-focused experience.
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong people management skills and ability to develop talent.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
