About the position

The Store Manager at Walgreens is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring a high level of customer service, managing team performance, and driving sales and profitability. This role involves supervising both retail and pharmacy operations, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The Store Manager also plays a key role in team development, training, and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of the Walgreens store.
• Improve store sales, profitability, and image through effective merchandising and team management.
• Monitor and analyze customer service provided by team members and develop action plans for improvement.
• Supervise the control of store finances, including register counts and bookkeeping.
• Oversee merchandising and inventory management, including ordering and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding store operations.
• Assign daily operational responsibilities and set expectations for team members.
• Analyze financial and performance data to develop action plans for sales growth and cost control.
• Manage team member performance and career progression, including hiring and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in training and personal development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of retail management experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state or pharmacy assistant in WA state.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

• PTCB or ExCPT Certification.
• Three years of retail management experience, including supervising others.
