Your position will involve various bookkeeping processes, including setting up cash drawers for front-end personnel, reconciling cash drawers and safe, and ensuring compliance with company and federal standards. You will also be responsible for handling cash transactions, operating various machines and terminals, and completing accounting reports and forms. This role requires a proactive approach to safety, including reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents to management. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and return visits.
  • Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
  • Set up cash drawers for front-end personnel and reconcile individual cash drawers and safe.
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping and documentation standards, including Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Perform booth accounting procedures needed for balancing the store.
  • Receive, count, and verify cash boxes of coin and media from the bank.
  • Count and prepare cash and media deposits for the bank.
  • Operate various machines, computers, and terminals at the Service Desk.
  • Key in information and run various reports on terminals.
  • Complete various accounting reports and forms accurately and timely.
  • Handle Western Union transactions and communicate effectively on the telephone and public address system.
  • Utilize payroll systems to encode and bundle checks for processing.
  • Order supplies using appropriate systems and reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficient with computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping processes is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a retail environment or customer service role is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cash handling and accounting procedures.
