About the position

The Store Office Clerk position at Sack 'N Save involves providing exceptional customer service and handling various administrative tasks within the store. This part-time role requires clerical duties at the customer service counter, including cash handling, problem-solving, and assisting customers with various services. The position is essential for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Staff the Customer Service Counters and provide services to customers.
  • Answer and route telephone calls.
  • Solve customer problems and issues.
  • Issue money orders and provide rain checks.
  • Handle bill payments and sell convenience items like postage stamps and bus passes.
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare store deposits.
  • Complete necessary paperwork related to transactions and services.
  • Perform all duties of a cashier.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a math test.
  • Must successfully pass cashier and office clerk training after hire.
  • Retail customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
  • TB Clearance required.
  • Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of cash handling experience preferred.
  • 1 year of retail customer service experience preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with computers, adding machines, and cash register systems preferred.
