The Store Operations Specialist role is pivotal in acting as a liaison between the home office and over 1800 stores, addressing operational issues and facilitating resolutions. This position requires collaboration across various departments, including Store Support, HR, Asset Protection, Real Estate, Marketing, and Finance, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. The specialist will evaluate trends to understand their global impact and provide partner resolutions, emphasizing a customer-focused approach in all interactions. In this role, the specialist will manage a regional inbox, handling approximately 40 emails daily. This requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address store-specific issues promptly. The specialist will also provide analytical support to leadership, identifying trends in the inbox for immediate resolution or feedback. Additionally, the role involves drafting and approving communications for the field, managing uploads, and maintaining resources in the Library. The specialist will also oversee special projects and operational partnerships as needed, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A background in retail operations and experience in influencing and negotiating with various stakeholders are essential for success in this role. The specialist must be adept at using Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrate excellent time management skills, particularly in a fast-paced environment. The ability to travel for store visits is also a requirement, as it allows for a deeper understanding of store needs and operational challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Balance multiple priorities and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions to store teams.
  • Provide excellent communication (verbal / written) skills and ability to drive thinking in a hybrid setting.
  • Manage regional inboxes with approximately 40 emails per day, demonstrating critical thinking and problem solving to support all store and store-specific issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide analysis to leadership to identify inbox trends for in-the-moment resolution or hindsight feedback.
  • Provide field communication support by drafting and approving messages in Zipline and managing uploads and upkeep of resources in the Library.
  • Manage special projects and operational partnerships as needed.
  • Manage outlook distribution lists for District Sales Leaders and Regional Assistants.

Requirements

  • Experience with influencing and collaborating with cross-functional groups, assessing store needs, and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Proficient writing and proofreading skills, technical skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task large volumes of work, deliver under tight timelines, and demonstrate excellent time management; understands that speed is critical to success in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in new concept development and process improvement.
  • Retail background, store selling, and operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel for store visits.
