About The Position
The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics by leading and training teams in various freight functions. This includes unloading, processing, stocking, and resetting merchandise to maximize product availability for customers. The SOS is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers while maintaining high standards of store operations. This position requires a proactive approach to managing freight and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In addition to overseeing freight functions, the SOS performs cashier duties, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies. The role also involves maintaining 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain) in the receiving area, which is essential for keeping the store organized and efficient. The SOS leads the team in performing all freight functions, ensuring that team members are focused on their specialized areas and that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. The SOS is also responsible for incident reporting compliance, performing store recovery tasks, and maintaining housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store. This position requires the operation of various equipment safely and in accordance with directed procedures, as well as ensuring a safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages. The SOS executes company directives, policies, and procedures accurately and thoroughly, contributing to the overall success of the store operations.
