The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics and enhancing the customer shopping experience. This position involves leading and training teams in various freight functions, which include unloading, processing, stocking, and resets. The SOS is responsible for maintaining high standards of store operations, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and effectively while adhering to company policies and procedures. In this role, the SOS will provide customers with a positive shopping experience by performing cashier duties accurately and processing all transactions in accordance with company policy. The SOS will also maintain 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain) in the receiving area, ensuring that the store environment is clean and organized. The SOS will lead the team in performing all freight functions, ensuring that specialists are focused on their designated areas and that freight is unloaded, processed, and stocked in the correct locations following merchandising guidelines. Additionally, the SOS will be responsible for timely and thorough incident reporting compliance, performing store recovery tasks, and maintaining housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store during stocking efforts. The SOS will also operate all equipment safely and ensure a safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages. Executing company directives, policies, and procedures in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner is essential to this role.
