About The Position
The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics by leading and training teams in various freight functions. This includes unloading, processing, stocking, and resetting merchandise to maximize product availability for customers. The SOS is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and safety. This position requires a proactive approach to managing freight operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. In this role, the SOS will oversee the unloading and processing of freight, ensuring that all products are stocked in their correct locations according to merchandising guidelines. The SOS will also lead the team in performing all freight functions, focusing on specialized areas to enhance productivity. Additionally, the SOS is responsible for maintaining 5S standards in receiving areas, which includes sorting, straightening, systematic cleanup, standardizing processes, and sustaining improvements. The SOS will also be tasked with performing cashier duties accurately, processing transactions in accordance with company policy, and ensuring a safe working environment. This includes timely incident reporting and compliance with safety protocols to minimize shrink and damages. The SOS will engage in store recovery tasks and housekeeping as needed, ensuring that the store remains clean and organized during stocking efforts. Training team members on freight processing and merchandising responsibilities is also a key aspect of this role, as is operating all equipment safely and effectively.
