The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics and enhancing the customer shopping experience. This position involves leading and training teams in various freight functions, which include unloading, processing, stocking, and resets. The SOS is responsible for maintaining high standards of store organization and cleanliness, adhering to the 5S methodology (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain) in all receiving areas. This role requires a proactive approach to incident reporting and compliance, ensuring that all processes are executed accurately and thoroughly. In addition to operational responsibilities, the SOS is tasked with providing exceptional customer service, which includes performing cashier duties accurately and efficiently while processing transactions in accordance with company policies. The SOS leads the team in freight functions, ensuring that all specialists focus on their designated areas and that freight is unloaded, processed, and stocked in the correct locations, following merchandising guidelines. The role also involves performing store recovery tasks and maintaining housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store during stocking efforts. Safety is a top priority for the SOS, who must operate all equipment safely and ensure a secure working and shopping environment. The SOS is expected to execute company directives, policies, and procedures in a timely and accurate manner, contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers and minimizing shrink and damages.
