The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics and freight management. This position is responsible for leading and training teams in various freight functions, which include unloading, processing, stocking, and resets. The SOS is dedicated to providing customers with a positive shopping experience by maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach to managing freight operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. In addition to overseeing freight functions, the SOS is tasked with performing cashier duties accurately, processing all transactions in accordance with company policy. The position also emphasizes the importance of maintaining 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain) in the receiving area, which is essential for creating an organized and efficient workspace. The SOS leads the team in executing all freight functions, ensuring that specialists are focused on their designated areas and that freight is unloaded, processed, and stocked in the correct locations following merchandising guidelines. The SOS is also responsible for timely and thorough incident reporting compliance, performing store recovery tasks, and maintaining cleanliness both inside and outside the store during stocking efforts. This role requires the operation of various equipment safely and in accordance with directed procedures, while also ensuring a safe working and shopping environment that minimizes shrink and damages. The SOS must execute company directives, policies, and procedures in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner, contributing to the overall success of the store operations.
