The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics and freight functions. This position is responsible for leading and training teams in various freight-related tasks, including unloading, processing, stocking, and resets. The SOS is dedicated to providing customers with a positive shopping experience and is expected to perform cashier duties accurately while adhering to company policies. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the receiving area is essential, as is the ability to lead a team effectively in performing all freight functions, ensuring that specialists focus on their designated areas. In addition to freight management, the SOS is tasked with unloading, processing, and stocking freight to the correct locations, following merchandising guidelines closely. Timely and thorough incident reporting is a critical aspect of this role, as is performing store recovery tasks and maintaining housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store during stocking efforts. The SOS will also be responsible for training team members on store freight processing and merchandising responsibilities, ensuring that all equipment is operated safely and in accordance with directed procedures. A key focus of this position is to ensure a safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages, executing company directives, policies, and procedures in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
