About The Position
The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in the logistics and operations of the store, focusing on leading and training teams to perform all freight functions effectively. This includes unloading, processing, stocking, and resetting merchandise to ensure that the store is well-stocked and organized for customers. The SOS is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers by ensuring that all products are available and accessible. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as the SOS must adhere to company policies and procedures while managing freight operations. In addition to overseeing freight functions, the Store Operations Specialist is tasked with maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the receiving area, following the 5S methodology (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain). The SOS leads the team in executing these tasks, ensuring that all team members are focused on their specialized areas and that freight is unloaded and stocked in accordance with merchandising guidelines. The role also involves timely incident reporting and compliance with safety protocols to minimize shrink and damages. The SOS is expected to perform store recovery tasks and maintain the overall appearance of the store, both inside and out, during stocking efforts. This position requires the ability to operate all necessary equipment safely and effectively, as well as the capability to train team members on freight processing and merchandising responsibilities. The Store Operations Specialist must execute company directives and policies accurately and thoroughly, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
