The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics and freight management. This position is responsible for leading and training teams in various freight functions, which include unloading, processing, stocking, and resets. The SOS is dedicated to providing customers with a positive shopping experience and is expected to perform cashier duties accurately while adhering to company policies during all transactions. In addition to customer service, the SOS maintains 5S standards—Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain—in the receiving area. This role involves leading the team in executing all freight functions, ensuring that specialists focus on their designated areas. The SOS is tasked with unloading, processing, and stocking freight to the correct locations, following merchandising guidelines to maintain store organization and efficiency. The position also requires timely and thorough incident reporting compliance, performing store recovery tasks, and maintaining cleanliness both inside and outside the store during stocking efforts. The SOS is responsible for training team members on store freight processing and merchandising responsibilities, operating all equipment safely according to directed procedures, and ensuring a safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages. Furthermore, the SOS executes company directives, policies, and procedures in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
