About The Position
The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store logistics by leading and training teams in various freight functions. This includes unloading, processing, stocking, and resetting merchandise to maximize product availability for customers. The SOS is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and safety. This position requires a proactive approach to managing freight operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. In this role, the SOS will oversee the unloading and processing of freight, ensuring that all products are stocked in their correct locations according to merchandising guidelines. The SOS will also lead the team in performing all freight functions, focusing on specialized areas to enhance productivity. A key aspect of the position is to maintain 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain) in receiving areas, which contributes to a clean and organized work environment. Additionally, the SOS will be responsible for incident reporting compliance, performing store recovery tasks, and ensuring that all equipment is operated safely and according to directed procedures. The role demands a commitment to creating a safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages. The SOS will execute company directives and policies accurately and thoroughly, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
