About The Position

The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) plays a crucial role in leading and training teams to perform all freight functions within the store. This includes unloading, processing, stocking, and resets of merchandise to ensure that products are readily available for customers. The SOS is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers by ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong focus on safety and compliance with company policies, as well as the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. In addition to leading the team, the SOS is tasked with maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the receiving area, adhering to the 5S methodology (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize, and Sustain). The SOS will also perform cashier duties, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies. This role demands a proactive approach to incident reporting and store recovery tasks, ensuring that the store remains a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and staff. The SOS will operate various equipment safely and efficiently, and will be responsible for training team members on freight processing and merchandising responsibilities. This position requires a commitment to minimizing shrink and damages while executing company directives and policies in a timely and thorough manner. The SOS must be adaptable, able to handle multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
