About the position

The Store Sales Associate position at PPG in Tuscaloosa, AL, is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service to retail and contractor customers. The associate will assist customers with paint-related needs, including mixing and matching paint, processing orders, and maintaining store cleanliness. This role is essential in building relationships with customers and ensuring their satisfaction with the products and services offered.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assess needs of wholesale and retail customers as they come into the store offering solutions.
• Mix, tint, and match paint to customer requests.
• Safely move, load, and unload products for stocking, delivery, and order processing.
• Ensure the store is always clean and stocked with paint and other store products.
• Process orders and payments received in-person, by phone, online, and/or email.
• Use POS system to receive payments and cash out customers.
• May be trained to make local deliveries using a company vehicle.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of current residence with no restrictions and an acceptable driving record.
• Customer service skills with a team-oriented focus and stable job history.
• Available to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and carry up to 80 pounds periodically and 50 pounds regularly.
