Responsibilities

  • Lead the Mattress Firm vision and company initiatives to achieve sales performance goals.
  • Hold associates accountable for in-store merchandising execution across multiple store units.
  • Drive individual and team sales performance and related KPI results.
  • Train and coach store employees in sales, product knowledge, and operational activities.
  • Create an exceptional customer experience by putting customers at the center of operations.
  • Communicate regularly with field employees to address concerns and questions.
  • Assist in staffing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for multiple stores.
  • Develop skills and competencies through assigned training and coursework.
  • Conduct workforce management activities, including staffing schedules and reconciling employee punches.
  • Achieve or exceed individual store financial targets through effective execution and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations regarding appearance and functionality standards.
  • Partner with marketing to implement and monitor the store's social media strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and drive performance based on KPIs.
  • Experience in training and coaching employees in a retail environment.
