About the position

The Store Shift Supervisor at Horizon Goodwill Industries is responsible for overseeing store operations during assigned shifts. This role includes assisting management to ensure efficient operations, which encompass sales, merchandising, customer service, and compliance with company policies. The supervisor will also handle administrative tasks and maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising store personnel.
• Assist with arranging store windows, displays, and promotional activities.
• Sell merchandise and provide customer service, resolving complaints as per company policy.
• Maintain store premises and merchandise in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Ensure store supplies are available as required.
• Follow all safety and security procedures.
• Maintain compliance with company and store policies, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, and paperwork completion.
• Receive and verify incoming merchandise from warehouse and vendors.
• Accurately ring sales on the cash register, handle money, and perform cash reconciliation.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties related to store operations.
• Receive donations and transport them to designated areas.
• Participate in required training.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of retail experience required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to fifty (50) lbs., with or without assistance.
