Store Shift Supervisor

About the position

The Store Shift Supervisor at Horizon Goodwill Industries is responsible for overseeing store operations during assigned shifts. This role includes assisting store management to ensure efficient operations, which encompass sales, merchandising, pricing, maintenance of displays, and related paperwork. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a clean and organized store environment while providing excellent customer service and resolving complaints.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising store personnel.
• Assist with arranging store windows, store displays, and promotional activities.
• Sell merchandise and provide customer service, resolving customer complaints through HGI policy implementation.
• Maintain store premises and merchandise in a clean, safe, and organized fashion.
• Ensure store supplies are on hand as required.
• Follow all required safety and security procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, markdowns, and timely completion of required paperwork.
• Receive and verify merchandise incoming from warehouse and vendors.
• Ring sales correctly on the cash register, handle money, perform cash reconciliation, and make store deposits according to company policy.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties related to store operations.
• Receive donations and transport them to designated areas.
• Participate in training as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of retail experience required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to fifty (50) lbs., with or without assistance.
