About the position

The Store Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day team activities to ensure operational excellence and compliance with policies and procedures at TD Bank. This role involves managing the store in the absence of other managers, driving customer service and sales objectives, and leading a team to enhance customer relationships and experiences. The supervisor will also engage in customer interactions, manage workflows, and ensure adherence to banking regulations while fostering a high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day team activities to ensure operational excellence and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage the store in the absence of other managers, including running the teller side and handling customer escalations.
  • Drive and reinforce sales and advice activities to create personalized customer experiences.
  • Provide leadership and work direction to ensure effective delivery of personalized service and advice activities.
  • Monitor workflows for the teller team and prioritize tasks while delegating responsibilities.
  • Educate the team on bank operational policies and procedures to manage risk effectively.
  • Engage in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitate application intake.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the team on delivering effective customer service and product advice.
  • Utilize customer relationship tools to advocate for customer needs and promote financial literacy.
  • Acquire and deepen the store customer base through proactive sales and service activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience working with customers and/or sales.
  • Notary License preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to provide direction and coaching.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain order in the store.
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Lotus Notes, Word, and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services.
  • Previous experience in a customer service leadership role.
