About the position

The Store Systems QA Analyst at Helzberg Diamonds is responsible for ensuring the quality delivery of software features for store-facing applications, including POS systems. This role involves developing both manual and automated functional tests, validating new features against business requirements, and collaborating with development teams to maintain high-quality standards in software delivery. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and capable of defining QA processes while adhering to established quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain functional tests, processes, and strategies.
• Review software documentation for technical accuracy and compliance.
• Document, evaluate, and disseminate test results; collaborate on troubleshooting issues.
• Identify testability requirements and utilize industry standards for automated testing.
• Write clear and comprehensive test plans and results.
• Develop automated regression tests using platforms like TestComplete and Selenium.
• Manage competing deadlines in an agile development environment.
• Provide testing support post-production releases.
• Communicate and report on the status of release test activities to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 3 years of QA Analyst experience.
• Experience supporting retail technology development is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly in QA.
• Basic familiarity with SQL or querying relational databases.
• Knowledge of defect management processes and experience with JIRA.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a QA Analyst or Engineer in retail technology development.
