About the position
As a Store Team Member at Pet Supplies Plus, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to pet owners while engaging with pets in the store. This role involves cashier duties, stocking shelves, and caring for animals, ensuring a friendly and knowledgeable environment for customers. The position is physically demanding and requires a passion for pets and people alike.
Responsibilities
- Process neighbors' purchases accurately and efficiently as a cashier.
- Provide Preferred Pet Club membership information to customers.
- Safely unload delivery trucks and stock shelves as a stocker.
- Carry heavy items such as bags of kibble and cat litter to customers' cars.
- Care for pets in the store, including cleaning habitats and feeding animals.
- Answer customer questions regarding animal care and pet ownership.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Ability to lift heavy items (40-65 lbs.) and stand for long periods.
- Pass a drug screening (in applicable states).
- Knowledgeable about animals and pet products.
