About the position
As a Store Team Member at Pet Supplies Plus, you will be an integral part of a team that is passionate about pets and dedicated to providing exceptional service to our neighbors. This position is primarily focused on daytime hours during weekdays, with some weekend availability preferred. Your role will involve engaging with customers, assisting them in selecting the right products for their pets, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. You will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently as a cashier, unloading deliveries and stocking shelves as a stocker, and providing care for the animals in the store. This position is physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting and standing for extended periods, but it is also rewarding as you help pet owners find the best products for their furry friends. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners and assist them in selecting products for their pets.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently as a cashier.
- Unload delivery trucks and stock shelves to ensure product availability.
- Carry heavy items such as bags of kibble and cat litter to customers' cars.
- Care for pets in the store, including cleaning habitats and feeding animals.
- Answer customer questions regarding animal care and product selection.
- Support team members by providing assistance when needed.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Ability to lift heavy items (40-65 lbs.) and stand for long periods of time.
- Strong knowledge of animals and pet products to provide outstanding service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
