About the position

The Store (Warehouse) Supervisor at Lincoln Electric System is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and managing a team of warehouse staff. This role emphasizes leadership in logistics, team development, and effective communication to resolve conflicts and make sound decisions under pressure. The supervisor will also handle inventory management and promote safety and productivity within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Supervises warehouse staff, prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring training and cross-training of staff.
• Completes inventory activities including periodic cycle counts, issuing tickets, receiving and stocking materials, and checking materials out.
• Investigates and resolves complex customer questions, problems, and complaints.
• Oversees the receipt, storage, and issuing of materials and supplies, including hazardous materials.
• Manages the processing of salvage materials for reclamation and reuse or sale as scrap.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
• 6 to 10 years of progressively responsible work-related experience in warehouse operations, including 4 to 6 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift certification or the ability to be certified within six months.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MRP modules of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Strong understanding of applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
