About the position

The Storekeeper II at Florida Power & Light Company is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role involves various tasks such as ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing materials, as well as maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. The position requires physical capability to handle heavy objects and operate motorized equipment, while also coordinating transportation between warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, stock, pick, issue, and count materials.
• Prepare shipments and reconcile invoices.
• Transfer materials between locations and manage inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Coordinate non-standard transportation between all warehouses in districts.
• Manage 'On Book' material at parent and satellite locations.
• Oversee truck stock in the district.

Requirements

• A valid license and ability to obtain a class A CDL.
• Ability to walk, climb ladders, lift, carry, and pull heavy objects.
• Experience using hand tools and operating motorized equipment (e.g., forklift, stock pickers).
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and at heights of 20+ feet.
• Good depth perception and ability to wear a safety harness.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
