About the position

The Storekeeper II position at Florida Power & Light Company involves managing inventory and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role includes responsibilities such as ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing materials, while maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. The Storekeeper II will also coordinate transportation between warehouses and manage materials at both parent and satellite locations.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, stock, pick, issue, and count materials.
• Prepare shipments and reconcile invoices.
• Transfer materials between locations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage inventory counts and safety stock transactions.
• Coordinate non-standard transportation between warehouses.
• Ensure all applicable tasks are tracked and completed at the district level.

Requirements

• A valid license and ability to obtain a class A CDL.
• Ability to walk, climb ladders, lift, carry, and pull heavy objects.
• Experience using hand tools and operating motorized equipment such as forklifts and stock pickers.
• Ability to work at heights of 20+ feet and wear a safety harness.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of SAP and Chrome River.
• A positive, can-do attitude towards work assignments and interactions.
• Flexibility to work weekends, after hours, holidays, or call-out support as needed.
• Team player willing to assist teammates when asked.
