About The Position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Storeroom Supervisor for its lumber manufacturing facility in Dodson, Louisiana. This role involves providing leadership in storeroom and procurement activities to support safety, quality, and production goals. The supervisor will work closely with maintenance to ensure continuous process improvement and manufacturing reliability, while also fostering a positive work environment aligned with the company's core values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing or supply management.
  • Ability to research products/services and identify cost-effective options.
  • Working knowledge of accounting functions, including purchase orders.
  • Effective problem-solving techniques and process improvement recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional ethical standards.
  • Customer-oriented focus, both internal and external.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships through coaching and development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Role model core values and people principles to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage storeroom and purchasing associates, including hiring and evaluating performance.
  • Direct purchasing, tracking, receiving, kitting, and onsite distribution of materials.
  • Perform routine procurement and transaction processing activities.
  • Review purchase requests and coordinate with plant associates to develop specifications.
  • Source a variety of commodities and services.
  • Prepare and publish specifications for bids and evaluate bid responses.
  • Interview vendors regarding safety, quality, service, and pricing.
  • Pursue cost-saving opportunities across the region.
  • Lead compliance with environmental and safety initiatives.
  • Assist with capital projects.
  • Partner with maintenance for preventive and routine maintenance activities.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with site safety requirements.
  • Train associates and vendors in purchasing and materials management procedures.
  • Resolve service and inventory disputes between site management and vendors.
