About the position

The Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the beverage program at a new restaurant and bar, ensuring high standards of service and quality. This role involves collaboration with the General Manager to develop and execute the beverage program, manage inventory, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the restaurant's operating business with a focus on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the GM to plan and execute the beverage program.
  • Develop the beverage program, including creating beverage lists, purchasing, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Participate in restaurant service to ensure proper product delivery and coach staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and develop vendor relationships.
  • Assist GM in hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating employees.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and food safety procedures.
  • Manage payroll and inventory management.
  • Monitor cost of goods sold and increase sales opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and set performance expectations for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding health and safety.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in beverage management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage trends and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality control and hygiene.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
