About the position

The Strat Front Desk Representative is responsible for providing excellent service to hotel guests by managing check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest inquiries, and resolving concerns in a positive manner. This role emphasizes building relationships with guests and promoting hotel services and amenities.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes guests with a friendly greeting and maintains a positive attitude throughout interactions.
  • Builds relationships with guests by smiling, making eye contact, and answering questions thoroughly.
  • Explains and processes guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Promotes the property by providing information about current promotions, facilities, and services.
  • Assigns rooms to guests according to policies and procedures.
  • Manages cash flow in assigned bank and performs account postings.
  • Checks for guest satisfaction after interactions and resolves issues or transitions guests to appropriate personnel.
  • Expresses appreciation to guests for their business and extends positive parting remarks.
  • Maintains a neat appearance and wears the appropriate uniform in good condition.
  • Engages in casual conversation with guests and invites them back to the property.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service position preferred.
  • Outstanding guest service skills that leave guests feeling positive about their experience.
  • Ability to proactively initiate upbeat and polite conversations with guests.
  • Ability to compassionately work with upset guests to resolve their concerns.
  • Understanding of non-verbal communication to enhance guest experience.
  • Ability to promote the property and its events and amenities.
  • Comfortable promoting hotel room products and explaining different types of rooms available.
  • Polite and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with cash, on a computer, and a 10-key machine.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
