About the position

The Strategic Account Executive role at Gannett focuses on driving new business and increasing client satisfaction within the Healthcare vertical. This position is integral to the National/Enterprise Division, leveraging a resource-rich sales team to develop marketing strategies and solutions for various client segments. The role emphasizes collaboration with support teams and requires a proven track record in sales, particularly in the healthcare sector, to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product penetration, upsell, and retain accounts by acquiring new business and increasing current client spend.
  • Create solutions with Customer Service Manager and deliver custom solutions that meet client KPIs.
  • Effectively use SalesForce.com to manage the sales pipeline and maintain awareness of revenue responsibilities.
  • Develop and work a pipeline of potential customers for growth within existing accounts and new high-potential prospects.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts and account plans to shape customized strategies.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of media/sales experience with a successful sales track record.
  • Experience selling to enterprise, national, or multi-location clients in the Healthcare vertical.
  • Strong B2B hunting skills with digital/advertising sales experience.
  • Outstanding communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and develop strong business relationships at a VP+ level.
  • CRM experience, preferably with Salesforce.com or similar.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading productive sales and strategy meetings with large accounts.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing solutions such as SEM, SEO, social media, and programmatic advertising.
