About the position

The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) at Mansfield Oil Company is responsible for managing and growing relationships with the company's largest and most complex customers. This role focuses on customer retention, solution selling, and achieving sales budgets while ensuring that customer needs and expectations are met. The SAE will lead customer account planning, coordinate with various departments, and drive profitability and growth through strategic initiatives and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with key customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare business rules for new customers and lead implementation meetings.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless onboarding and customer interaction.
  • Develop and implement a regular contact strategy with existing customers.
  • Conduct quarterly in-person meetings with clients to review projects and identify opportunities for value enhancement.
  • Lead a joint strategic account planning process with customers to set performance objectives and financial targets.
  • Analyze profit and loss by product line to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for profitability.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and educate customers on the full range of products and services offered by Mansfield.
  • Enter and track account information in the CRM system, preparing bids and proposals as needed.
  • Analyze data for trends and provide actionable insights to enhance customer value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
  • Proven project management and business development experience in a client-service environment.
  • Business-to-business sales experience required, preferably in account retention or business development.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Experience in petroleum sales and familiarity with Mansfield's product lines preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple large accounts and communicate effectively with executive-level clients.
