About the position

The Strategic Account Executive at Red Hat, Inc. is responsible for managing relationships with key customers within the Chicago POD organization. This role focuses on supporting customers' IT transformation efforts through Red Hat's services and solutions, building new executive-level relationships, and expanding business with existing clients. The position requires a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to articulate the value of Red Hat's solutions in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a matrix sales team focused on Fortune 500 Accounts in the Chicago Metro area.
  • Sell the complete Red Hat portfolio of solutions within assigned enterprise accounts.
  • Promote Red Hat's value proposition to prospective customers in a competitive market.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing.
  • Maintain and develop new relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Excel within a fast-paced organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience selling within the software industry.
  • Experience building out Account Maps and aligning solutions value to customer business needs.
  • Experience selling in both direct and partner models.
  • Demonstrated market knowledge and competitive knowledge opportunities.
  • Proven record of exceptional quota attainment.
