About the position

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) at WORLDPAC is responsible for managing strategic account customers, serving as the primary point of contact for all aspects of the account deal. This role involves prospecting leads, selling the Commercial Promise, closing profitable deals, and managing ongoing marketing efforts. The SAM will develop and implement account-specific business plans, provide leadership, and achieve growth and profitability goals while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategic accounts and build relationships with key customers and senior executives to grow sales and profitability.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans for key accounts.
  • Analyze sales data to identify new customer accounts and recommend product/service terms to maximize sales.
  • Employ a standardized qualification process to gather account information and understand customer challenges.
  • Sell the WORLDPAC value proposition using a consultative sales process and develop individual account goals.
  • Conduct business reviews with customers to understand their needs and align them with WORLDPAC strategies.
  • Work with the marketing department to develop proposals and forecast/report sales activity.
  • Ensure professional sales coordination and resolve account ownership issues.
  • Coordinate with various departments to maximize communication and program execution.
  • Build strategic partnerships with Commercial Sales Managers to drive sales success.
  • Assist in training and development of the Commercial Sales organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Advanced Excel and presentation development skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
