About the position

The Strategic Account Manager for eMobility at Alta Equipment Group is responsible for developing and managing relationships with commercial fleets to promote electric and hydrogen Class 3 - 8 vehicles. This role involves cultivating sales partnerships, overseeing product demonstrations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful vehicle deployment. The position requires a proactive approach to sales in the Midwest, focusing on building a network and influencing market positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own relationships with local and national commercial fleets.
  • Identify municipal and private fleets and key personnel at target fleets.
  • Cultivate sales and partnerships globally for electric vehicles.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations and communicate benefits of all-electric propulsion technology.
  • Assist fleets with authoring and securing contracts for pilot projects and large deployments.
  • Monitor, manage, and report on the sales funnel in CRM.
  • Influence global positioning in market and external relations in collaboration with Marketing, Communication & Public Affairs.

Requirements

  • 7+ years sales experience in the truck industry, electric vehicle, or advanced clean transportation industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with both functional staff and C-suite level staff.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with a sales team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to evaluate opportunities, prioritize, and close; results oriented.
  • Experience selling to National Fleet Managers and executives; commercial, government, municipalities.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
