About the position

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) for Endoscopy at Medtronic is a field-based sales position focused on promoting and selling medical devices within the gastrointestinal (GI) product portfolio. The SAM will engage with healthcare organizations, primarily hospitals, to educate healthcare professionals on the clinical advantages of GI products, drive product adoption, and achieve sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the product line, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by driving incremental product adoption.
  • Educate physicians and clinical personnel on the use of GI products.
  • Establish excellent relationships with healthcare professionals and physicians in the territory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts and extended sales force.
  • Provide clinical product demonstrations and education in accounts.
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities in Salesforce.com.
  • Conduct market research and develop market development plans/strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of field sales experience.
  • Complete knowledge of company products and services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Medical Device Sales.
  • Established business planning and forecasting experience.
  • Demonstrated formal sales skills training, preferably from a Fortune 500 company.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related technical field.
