About the position

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for driving and coordinating sales efforts within focused markets and designated strategic OEM accounts, including major companies like Microsoft, Cisco, Google, and Apple. The SAM will lead collaboration among various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Manufacturing to achieve sales targets and enhance relationships with key account personnel. This role involves developing account plans, providing sales reporting, and managing Brady's sales teams at assigned accounts to ensure market penetration and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and coordinate sales efforts in focused markets and designated strategic OEM accounts.
  • Develop account plans, account mapping, and account overviews for focused accounts, maintaining them quarterly or as new information arises.
  • Provide monthly sales reporting on sales revenue, gross margin, program updates, forecasting, and issues for assigned strategic accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Strategic Account personnel, including management, engineering, and supply teams.
  • Develop, implement, and manage a focused sales program at target accounts.
  • Lead and manage Brady's APAC sales teams at assigned accounts.
  • Develop and own Brady product specifications and program allocations within strategic accounts' supply chains.
  • Provide feedback to Brady Managers regarding strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the designated industry.
  • Assist in developing sales and operations strategies to ensure market share growth for designated industries and focused accounts.
  • Evaluate selected accounts and associated opportunities each fiscal year, making selection and deletion decisions with the SAM Director.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, particularly in strategic account management.
  • Strong understanding of OEM markets and the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and account personnel.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and provide actionable insights for account growth.
  • Experience in developing and executing account plans and sales strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with major technology companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Google, and Apple.
  • Familiarity with sales reporting tools and CRM software.
