About the position

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market share within assigned accounts and territories, focusing primarily on existing customers in the Southeast Region of the United States. This remote position involves managing strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to customers. The role requires effective relationship management, negotiation skills, and the ability to identify new business opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the B2B relationship between Tempel and assigned accounts to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Focus on supply negotiations leveraging Tempel's market leadership.
  • Develop and maintain account plans including SWOT analysis and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide high-quality service to customers.
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities while providing accurate forecasts for planning.
  • Drive value-added activities to become a valuable business partner for assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with management input.
  • Create and complete personal development goals with supervisor agreement.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an account management role with a manufacturing company or similar.
  • Previous experience in account value selling or consultative selling.
  • Strong background in B2B sales with a proven track record of sales growth.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience with CRM systems (MS Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar).
